5k Race for the Lemurs

😀 Hi Mom and Peg!

I ran a 5k race this past Saturday called Race for the Lemurs, sponsored by the Duke Primate Center. The course was a hilly trail in Duke Forest near Duke University. The race was rather casual, no timing chips, and the director said they weren’t even sure of the exact distance! My time was 26:41. I was hoping to get under 25, but am still happy with that number seeing as it was a hilly course. It works out to be a pace of close to 8:30.

My place out of all finishers (male and female) was 36 out of 90. My place was 15 out of 46 out of female finishers, which is top 30%.
