Couple of quick updates. I haven’t had time to write full blogs, but wanted to put this out there:
1) The new V-flow plus saddle is definitely working out great. Did 60 miles with no pain last weekend. Rode the trainer this week for 1:30 and aslo did a 1:30 tempo ride. All with no pain whatsoever. Took some tweaking, but my butt is very happy now. I will write more details about that and exactly what John Cobb said to do (which I was stubbornly resisted – but in the end he was right!)
2) I am officially registered for the Rev 3 Tri race. That is the race I am really excited about (can you tell). Yay hills!
3) I rode on one of the Inside Out Sports group training rides this week. OMG. It was FUN and HARD! Better than Spinervals, and you know how I love Coach Troy! I did 30 miles at nearly 21 mph. About half of that was done in a rotating paceline. A young female rider shouted out tips to me on correct paceline technique. I felt like such a noob, but I learned alot! Oh, and my front brake pad was rubbing 50% of the time – Resistance Training, hehe!
4) I am racing Riverwood tomorrow. I didn’t taper, but I did take today off. Should be a fun race! Not sure if my running speed is enough to get me top master’s female, but I will try! I had a very frustrating evening getting my bike race ready. Pretty much everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. “Bluh” is putting it mildly!
good luck tomorrow !
Good luck at your race! Sounds like training has been going awesome for you this season.
