I work with Ironman and wanted to see if you knew the re-broadcast of the 2007 World Championships was airing this coming Saturday, [Feb 17] from 2PM – 3:30PM ET on NBC.
Also the 2008 Ford Ironman World Championship Lottery is open until February 28 for the October 11 event.
Established in 1990 by Ironman founder John Collins, the Ironman lottery is one of the most coveted spots in sports.
Ironman has a great trailer on their YouTube channel for the 2007 event – might encourage some triathletes to enter the lottery themselves. Link is below.

It costs $35 to enter the lottery; or $50 if you join the Passport club. Your odds are better if you join the Passport club. I’ve also heard that your odds are better if you have a heartwrenching story to tell, such as the Blazeman. I wonder what the odds of actually getting in are…pretty small I bet!? I won’t be entering, as I couldn’t afford the trip out to Hawaii even if I was one of the lucky few chosen to fill the Kona lottery spots. I will definitely watch the 2007 race on TV…I love watching Ironman events. Here’s the trailer…
