I’ve been experimenting with e-caps and NUUN. Taking 3 e-caps per 20 ounce fill-up of water left me with an aversion to salt for two days. Same thing when using 1 NUUN tablet per 20 ounce fill-up. Today I tried 1/2 NUUN tablet per 20 ounce fill-up. That felt right. I might try e-caps again in lesser quantities. The NUUN tablets are not easy to split in half. You have to do it with a knife – not just snap it in half – or else it crumbles.
I have a high sweat rate, and extremely salty sweat. After a hot workout, salt will crystallize on my face leaving a white dust. The first time I noticed this, I thought it was sand, and wondered where did all this sand on my face come from. Then I realized it was salt!
Perhaps what I am experiencing as an aversion to salt, is merely a lack of craving salt. I have craved salt for two years. One of my favorite treats is to lick the salt from the bottom of a bag of pretzels.
Now I don’t have that craving. No more need to lick the salt off pretzels anymore, or suck on matchsticks either.

i wish they would put NUUN in the tap water. keep trying it and soon you too will be hooked. initially was partial to kona kola but have moved on to lemon lime and i hate things flavored lime!
My wife LOVES Nuun. I don't care for it as much.
But I'm like you with the sweat: I'm a sweaty fool, and it "chunks" up on my face (usually around my temples and down my cheeks) on hot days and long runs!!
