I got a new Yoga DVD last night. A funny thing happened when I bought it…
My Mom always gives Borders gift cards for Christmas, so I opened my present early (oops), and headed to Borders Bookstore. As per a friend’s recommendation, I chose “Yoga Conditioning for Athletes” with Rodney Yee. When I handed the Christmasy design gift card to the sales clerk, he asked “How much would you like to put on this card?” I gave him a puzzled look; then he added, “Oh, you are using this card?” We both laughed and I whispered “Shhhh…don’t tell my Mom that I opened her gift early!”. Teehee!
When I got home from Borders, I did one of the workouts. It was amazing! I loved how it stretched my tight legs, shoulders, back – well, pretty much everything! And Rodney does a super job explaining how to perform each movement, holding the stretches for the perfect amount of time. It was actually Ginger, aka “Aquaphor Chick”, who recommended this DVD. She is the woman who passed me during the run and took 1st place at Pinehurst. Thanks, Ginger! (That “Thanks” is for recommending the DVD, NOT for passing me at Pinehurst. LOL!)
