My hip has been hurting a little. My brother told me to go to a specialty running store and have them fit me into the proper shoes for running. I found a place by searching for running shoes at switchboard.com, which is like an online yellow pages. I went to 9th Street Active Feet in Durham, NC where looked at my feet, watched me walk, asked me to stand on one foot, etc. They said I was “overpronating”, so need a shoe that corrects that. I tried on several pairs of shoes that they suggested, and ended up with Brooks Ariel shoes that cost $99.
My brother also said to make sure I do proper stretches before and especially after jogging.
