There’s an evil monkey that climbs up on my back when I run. He tells me I can’t run today because I’m too tired, or that I’ve run far enough and it’s time to quit. Sometimes he says that I suck at running so I should just give up.
He always visits me when I first start to run. I shake him off for a while, then he climbs back on my back after a mile or two and drags me down with his negative chatter inside my brain. It’s a constant battle between me and him…a battle which I fully intend to win 😈
