Triathlon Workout
I am now into the last few weeks before my triathlon. I’m not quite ready but I think I can finish it, which is my goal for my first tri.
Here is my workout schedule (from page 122 the Triathlon 101 book). I’m reproducing it here because I don’t like the formatting in the book, plus I switched the days around a bit.
Monday: Brick: 45 minutes easy ride followed by immediate transition to 20 min tempo run.
Tuesday: OFF
Wednesday: Brick: 500m swim with a transition to bike and 30 minutes of easy spinning.
Thursday: 40 min of swim drill practice. 15 minutes of easy running.
Friday: 30 minute bike at race pace.
Saturday: 400 m easy swimming and swim drill sets.
Sunday: 30 min of swim drill practice.
